Sam is finally 2. He has been acting two for a little while now ("mine" has become a favorite word). Though the official date of birth is the 30th, we held his party a few days earlier for convenience for families involved.
The little parrot had an ice cream cake courtesy of of Sarah Wilks productions. He got a great toy tractor from Aunt Cindy and Uncle Allan and has been carrying that around ever since. He loves to look at pictures of tractors while he's eating breakfast (just like Mom, only Mom looks at cookbooks and NOT tractors), loves to point out tractors when we walk, and of course loves to dig in the dirt with them. I guess you could say he is obsessed with tractors. Of course he got some bowling pins and two toy bowling balls (that's all we need is a REAL bowling ball around this house--might as well call it a demolition ball) and has successfully carried them around with his tractor. So Sam thinks he is set for life. Instead of got milk? it's Got Tractor?
Sam is starting to talk--thankfully not too much (once they start they don't stop). He says important words: mine, meanie, stinker, open, milk, uh-uh, no, tractor, doggie, kitty, door, poopy (that's a fun one), ewwwww (usually following the previous word), he can say the boys names but it sounds like: "mamrin", :mimall", "entin". Sam is into repeating now--so we have him reading scriptures at night. You know, 10 minutes to get through one verse. It's funny to hear his pronunciations.
Climbing out of bed is now a new pasttime for this tazmanian. He also climbs on the desk, shoves chairs over to sinks and now turns on the water and occassionally gives my hair straightener a bath (**note**straighteners can go through one bath and be ok, but NOT two), pumps the sink full of soap and leaves the water running, eats others cereal or other food left unattended, dances in the dog water still in the bowl, tries to get on his bike and follow the older boys to school (some days that would be nice), and so on. For all his twoness, Sam has a great laugh and loves to be held. He does share (occassionally and only if it is yours in the first place) and because of Italian genetics passed down through the maternal side, loves chocolate chips. And of course, loves the outdoors.
So that's Sam in a nutshell (sort of, if he could get in one I'm sure he would.)
