Scrapbooking

Well the time has come. I have decided that I have time to scrapbook again. (And now since I have determined that the time will miraculously vanish). But for all you wonder scrappers...I don't know what it out there. I've been to a few card making activities where there are more gadgets than paper, and I've seen a few things in the store that look nice; but I would like to know what you totally can't live without. (Please don't reference paper though--I get you can't do without that!) Also are there any techniques that you find are easy and look impressive or that you use regularly?
I went through my old photos but have decided that I'm going to start with some themes (my sis gets credit for that). Lake Powell is going to be my first theme/vacation I'm going to do. I figure if I start with one, it should be easier to take it on a little at a time. So I ordered the pictures and am looking for paper, supplies and little things to enhance the pages. I really do need ideas of what is new to buy that's worth it. And I have seen some sites for digital scrapbooking but I don't know anything about them...do you?
Well this is my plea for help. Email me and let me know.
Thank you! (in advance)

I love scrapping, but haven't done it in so long! It goes back to the old excuse of time. I'm glad to see you are going to be doing it. I use a lot of Creative Memories products (albums, adhesives, markers, etc). I think you just need a good paper/picture cutter. I like to keep it simple. Sometimes all you have time to do is stick it on the page and journal a bit. That's good enough! Starting with a theme album is good. I have one with just Christmas and it's nice to go back and look at the pictures through the years. Good luck with your scrapbooking!
